Step Lamp

Step into the light with the step lamp. Inspired by the many evenings I’ve spent on stairs at sunset, watching the light cast shadows on the steps. I love the views from up high, whether it be from LA's "secret" stairs in my current neighborhood or West Michigan's steep stairs to the lake where I grew up. The perfect lighting will give the best view of your home.

The Step Lamp comes in ash or walnut. The walnut is sourced from a downed tree from Street Tree Revival, Anahiem, CA and the ash is sourced from a downed tree in Altadena, CA.

To make this lamp, we mill the wood, carefully piece it together, and then hand-carve on a lathe. It is sanded smooth to the touch and finished with an environmentally friendly finish. Comes with a cloth-covered wire, in-line switch, cast brass harp, brass and porcelain socket, and a handstrung lampshade. Light socket is a standard, E26 bulb base, typical for table lamps. Please use an LED bulb!

The lampshade frame is handmade in Santa Fe Springs, CA and hand-wound with 2mm single-ply cotton cord in powder blue. The cotton cord is 100 % recycled and OEKA-TEX certified. The lampshade can also be made with cotton cord in natural as shown in the last photo. Looking for another color, reach out!

Dimensions of wood base: The diameter at it's widest is 6" and the height of the wood base is 12“. Height with shade is 21".
Dimensions of lampshade: 12” diameter x 9” height.
